Southeast NOx Requirements

Southeastern Pennsylvania counties including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties have additional NOx requirements which could apply to equipment at your facility.

Boilers Requirements:

If your boiler meets the following definition from 25 Pa Code 145.2 and has a nameplate rated capacity that is greater than 100 million Btu/hr then   emission limits apply.

An enclosed fossil or other fuel fired combustion device used to produce heat and to transfer heat to recirculating water, steam or other medium.

Does your boiler has a nameplate rated capacity greater than 100 million btu/hr but less than 250 million Btu/hr OR a nameplate rated capacity greater than 250 million Btu/hr?  If so, then it is likely that emission limits apply for your boiler(s) and you will need to have calculations on-site to demonstrate your boiler(s) meets the applicable emission limits.

Turbine Requirements

If you have a turbine, does it have a nameplate rated capacity greater than 100 million Btu/hr?  If so, then it is likely that emission limits apply and you will need to have calculations on-site to demonstrate compliance.

Engine Requirements

Does your stationary Internal Combustion Engine have a nameplate rated capacity greater than 1,000 horsepower?  If so, then emission limits likely apply and you will need to have calculations on-site to demonstrate compliance.
