The 2019 Hazardous Waste Biennial Report due March 1, 2020

Feb 04, 2020
Pennsylvania small businesses who generate hazardous waste may need to file a Hazardous Waste Biennial Report for calendar year 2019.  These reports are due on March 1, 2020 and should be submitted to Pennsylvania DEP.  Reports will be accepted both electronically and by paper copy.
The report is required for Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) who generate more than 2,200 pounds per month or more of hazardous waste, more than 2.2 pounds per month of acute hazardous waste, or more than 220 pounds per month of acute hazardous waste spill cleanup in the year of 2019. Businesses that generate more than the limit in an uncommon or single occurrence are still subject to submitting the biennial report.  For more informaiton on hazardous waste and how small businesses in Pennsylvania can stay in compliant, Pennsylvania DEP has published the Pennsylvania Hazardous Waste Regulation Compliance Guide.
