Annual Emissions Statement (AES) and Annual Air Reporting Reminder for Calendar Year 2025

Written on . Posted in , .
EMAP would like to remind Pennsylvania small business facilities that Annual Emissions Statement (AES) and annual air reporting requirements for Calendar Year 2025 are due by March 1, 2026. Facilities that are required to report are typically synthetic minor sources or other operations with air permits that include annual reporting obligations.

If your facility is required to submit an AES or annual air report, now is a good time to begin gathering emissions data, fuel usage records, operating hours, and any other information needed to complete your submission accurately and on time.

Reporting Systems Used in Pennsylvania

Facilities subject to Annual Emissions Statement (AES) reporting requirements by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) must use DEP’s GreenPort system to submit their reports. Facilities located in Allegheny County submit their annual air reports through the Allegheny County Health Department’s (ACHD) Regulated Entities Portal (REP).

While the reporting platforms differ, the purpose is the same: to provide annual emissions and compliance information required under state and local air quality regulations.

Allegheny County Facilities

Small business facilities located in Allegheny County should submit their annual air reports using ACHD’s Regulated Entities Portal (REP), which is accessed through the ACHD Air Quality Program website: ACHD has also published helpful user guides for facilities submitting annual air reports: These guides walk facilities through account access, report submission, and common reporting requirements.

EMAP Assistance Available

EMAP is here to help small businesses understand their AES and annual air reporting obligations, navigate reporting systems, and clarify what information is required. While EMAP does not submit reports on behalf of facilities, we can provide guidance, answer questions, and help you prepare for a smoother reporting process.

If you are unsure whether your facility is required to submit an AES or annual air report, or if you have questions about deadlines, reporting systems, or data requirements, please contact EMAP for assistance.

Preparing early can help avoid last-minute issues and ensure your facility stays in compliance with air quality reporting requirements.
